Boat: Bliss Stick Mystic

This was a spectacular day on the river…  it was just that good.  It all started with the first use of my new orange Bliss Stick Mystic, on its christening voyage.  I forgot the PBR I wanted to use, so I got to just do my own little thing as we got in the river.  The trip went fantastically well.  Andy swam 3 people at the second part of initiation, and there were lots of boats getting stuck all over the place, but overall, it was really good.

Caleb takes the right line in the lower part of Initiation. He got spun around and ended up bow guiding. Pretty awesome.
Todd right on line in Ram's Horn. The move at this level was right to left in front of the boulders at the top. The hole at the bottom was huge!
Andy just missing the hole at the bottom. Still going deep!
Heather runs Balls to the Walls Left. Really fun rapid at this level!
Caleb dropping off Climax. Right down the middle was perfect.
Remains of an eroded away waterfall on the Wind River.
The boulder lineup at High Bridge Rapid. You need to ferry in front of the large boulders to the left side before dropping over the last ledge drop.
Todd's raft dropping through The Flume.
Gener runs the meat of it on Beyond Limits.
Jeff and Caleb preparing for the Shippard's Falls portage.

All of the rapids:  Initiation, Ram’s Horn, Climax, High Bridge, and the Flume all went smoothly.

Here's a video of Caleb jumping off the cliff on at Shippard's Falls (1.4mb)

I decided that I wanted to be a photo boater for the trip and that went pretty well.  People respond well to a person running (or kayaking) around taking their photos.  Down at the Flume I was trying to take photos while holding the camera in one hand and my paddle in another.  Unfortunately, I flipped over and got pushed against the right wall in the process.  I was trying to roll up but I kept getting knocked against the wall.. It was actually pretty funny and Heather and Generr were sure I was going to swim.  Good stuff for sure.

As we paddled out on the lake, the sun came out and it was totally beautiful.  It was an amazing change from the crappy weather we’ve been having around here lately.  It was real nice and put everyone in a good mood.  The kayakers too a bunch of funny underwater pictures of us flipping over and
