A Season at Wet Planet, Summer 2006
By Jonathan Blum
Class: IV-IV+
Trip date: Summer 2006

Summer is slipping away and fall is crashing in quickly. The Summer 2006 was the most fruitfull summer for my paddling ever, with more than 100 days on the river, lots of raft trips, and tons of kayaking instruction. As a final piece of the whitewater season, I thought it would be fun to see a shot of each of the groups I took down the river this summer.

Kayaking and rafting are very different, and each has its own place and purpose. Kayaking is very much an individual sport to that can take you to places that most cannot and will not ever go. Paddle rafting is a team participation sport that give the guide (me) the opportunity to show people who might not otherwise get a chance to see the beauty of the river why it is fun, cool, exciting, and worth preserving. Its also a lot of fun.

So, here are nearly 100 rafts and kayakers that I took down the White Salmon River this summer. If you see yourself in one of these rafts or kayaks and would like to purchase the pictures, contact Wet Planet Whitewater and they can hook you up. Thanks for coming with me on the adventure and I hope to see you back next year or in Costa Rica!
