I helped Abbe (Sierra Rescue) out with this swiftwater rescue course offered through Seattle Raft and Kayak over the weekend.  She was a fantastic instructor as usual, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with such amazing talent.  Will from SRK also helped out which was awesome!  The weather was pretty poor on Saturday with hail, gusting winds and sideways rain!  It was really cold in the afternoon but everyone made it through, learned lots and enjoyed themselves.  Sunday was warmer with clear skies and sunshine!  We had a large group from the CWU outdoor program who were also taking a basic raft guide training earlier in the week (good work fellas!).  The course was mostly catered to the rafting crowd, but we got a chance to do kayak pins, riverboarding, foot/ body entrapment, and all the normal swiftwater stuff on top of all the raft stuff.  Lots of fun in the river.

Please be patient while the photos load...  This is the easiest way to share with everyone in the class...  Enjoy.
